Oliver Cromwell was born on April 25, 1599, in Huntingdon, England. He died on September 3, 1658 in London. He was an English soldier and statesman, who led parliamentary forces in the Wars of the three Kingdoms. Oliver Cromwell became lord protector of England, Scotland, and Ireland (1653–58) during the republican Commonwealth.
