Victoria 1847 - 1853 Gothic Head Crown.

Features the Gothic Head of Queen Victoria, a portrait by William Wyon. This was the first time a British Monarch can be seen wearing a Crown on a coin since the coinage of Charles 11. Her embroidered dress featuring Thistles, Roses & shamrocks, the national plant symbols of Scotland, England & Ireland.

This Crown Coin was issued in 1847 & 1853

Born Princess Alexandrina Victoria of Kent on the 28th May 1818. She was the daughter of Prince Edward the fourth son of George 111. She was eighteen when she took to the thrown, she died at the age of 81 in Osbourne House on the Isle Of White. She was the last British Monarch of the House of Hanover.
